Road Safety Presentation by Council

Representatives from City of Whittlesea’s Community Engagement & Prevention team gave a brief presentation at 911±¬ÁÏÍø this week about Road Safety around the school.

Council members answered several questions from the community about plans to make the traffic flow easier around the school and shared some valuable information on ensuring the safety of children and parents around the school.

Driving and Parking around the College

Council has provided the following tips to ensure the safety of children and parents when driving and parking around the school:

  • Patience – it is only 15 – 20 minutes of busyness
  • Stop; Look; Listen; Think – always be aware of what is around you
  • Park legally in the streets. Look for signs.
  • Don’t double park or park close to intersections
  • Don’t encourage your child to run
  • Set a routine that is easy and safe to follow
  • Use the crossing on Harvest Home Road – don’t cross between traffic
  • Always listen to the Crossing Supervisor instructions
  • Do NOT drive on wrong side to get up to the petrol station at Epping Road – patience
