Seven of our Year 10 students paid a visit to the ENCOMPASS CARE VIC (E-Care), a not-for-profit charitable organisation based in Bundoora this September. E-Care is dedicated to assisting the underprivileged, aligning perfectly with the values instilled at 911爆料网.
This visit was a part of the Values-In-Action Program, a combined effort by the college to instil a sense of social responsibility and gratitude within students. The initiative allows students to actively engage in voluntary service, reinforcing the college鈥檚 core values: Living Islam, Respectful Relationships, Real Life Learning, Responsible Citizenship, and It Starts with Me.
During their visit, the students participated in packing fresh bread and assembling food parcels. These carefully curated packs included a variety of essential items like non-perishables, fresh produce, school snacks, toiletries, nappies, sanitary items, and baby goods. The aim was to provide families in the region with enough supplies to last for two weeks.
Through programs like the Values-In-Action (VIA) initiative, we endeavour to instil a strong sense of giving back within students. By engaging in service-learning activities, students are not only providing practical assistance to those in need but also absorbing life values that will shape them into engaged and compassionate citizens.
The experience at E-Care VIC was not only about extending a helping hand but also about sowing the seeds of empathy, kindness, and active citizenship in the hearts of the future ASC leaders. The hope is that through such experiences, these young individuals will grow up to be altruistic members of society, always willing to contribute to the well-being of others.
