Cricket Victoria/Melbourne Renegades Clinic Program at Al Siraat
Junior School students from Year 6 participated in a Cricket Clinic program, organised and planned out by Cricket Victoria/Melbourne Renegades' David Hall, Waddington Mwayenga and assistants Luke and Rachel. The four Cricket Vic representatives had carefully planned the four week introductory clinic to promote cricket and sharpen up students' existing cricket skills.
Students had an awesome program running throughout the week:
Our Year 6 girls attended the program on Mondays, whereas the Year 6 boys participated in the program during their PE classes on Thursdays. The program was also available on Wednesdays after school, accommodating for both boys and girls of all ages.
The Cricket Clinic program covered the following key skills:
- Catching
- Bowling
- Batting
- Running
- Coordination.
During the final week of the program, students even got to to play a T20 blast match. The clinic was a huge success both students and parents who really enjoyed the sessions. The activities provided catered for students of all Junior School ages and kept every student active and engaged during the program.
