For the first time, our Student Representative Council celebrated International Women’s Day at Al Siraat on Friday, 8 March.

It is a day to reflect on how far we have come and how far we still have to go to truly achieve gender equality. United Nations Women’s global theme of 2019 is “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. The theme focus on social protection, public services and sustainable infrastructure.
Our Secondary girls celebrated the day by wearing colourful scarves and by donating a gold coin to go towards our current ‘Pakistan Eid Ul Fitr back to school” Campaign, and coming together to show unity as women.
Teachers and support staff also celebrated the day by wearing creative, stylish and colourful scarves. The girls enjoyed the day by taking photos and having an enjoyable lunch time relaxation.
